Although #HeartMonth is coming to an end, we continue to share the powerful stories of our small but mighty patients. ??
One of those kiddos is Alexander. After being born, his nurse detected a heart murmur. He was immediately transported via helicopter to Egleston, where he was diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta—a congenital heart defect where the aorta is narrower than it should be. After surgery and a cardiac catheterization procedure, Alexander has shown his parents that no matter the circumstances, he’s such a happy baby.
