After being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at almost 3-years-old, Curtis’ parents turned to our Marcus Autism Center to find him a specialty program that understood his needs. Curtis enrolled in our Language and Learning Program and our Feeding Program, where he worked with both speech and occupational therapists as well as dietitians to improve his vocabulary, confidence and approach to mealtime. In a place that really embraces each child’s individual way of learning, Curtis’ family saw him transform into the resilient kid he is today.

Now, 11-year-old Curtis enjoys playing basketball and has big dreams for his future. #AutismAwarenessMonth
