Katie's was Diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma
During Katie's sophomore year of high school she was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of soft tissue cancer that started as a tumor on her chin and lower lip. After 48 rounds of chemotherapy, 27 rounds of radiation therapy and temporary loss of her voice and hair, Katie is now 3.5 years cancer-free. Her nurse practitioner, Christie, has been a source of strength since the beginning of her journey.
